Armidale National Seniors Forum

The Armidale community recently gathered for a full day of presentations ranging from healthy lifestyles, legal issues and planning for retirement and aged care facilities.

The event arranged by the Armidale branch of the National Seniors Forum included Forsyths Principal, Julie Sherwood who discussed the path to aging well financially and the importance of planning.

“Planning for retirement and beyond is complex, but there are a lot of very useful tips for making our superannuation work harder and arranging it in a way that it continues to work for us in retirement and improving financial longevity.

“For those people managing the financial issues surrounding a spouse, partner or parent moving into aged care facilities, this process can be difficult, but there are options that may make this process less costly and more manageable.

“It was lovely to speak with the Armidale community and I look forward to a similar event we will be holding in Tamworth Next year.

“I specialise in the area of aging well financially – I get great satisfaction from seeing my clients go from uncertainty and concern to a real sense of positivity throughout their retirement,” Julie said.
