Our History

With over 100 years experience, we’re one of the largest finance and business advisory firms in regional NSW.

Forsyths commenced operations in Armidale in 1921 trading as WS Forsyth & Co. For almost sixty years WS Forsyth & Co remained a family operated business.

In 1980, the last family member, WR Forsyth retired, and a merger took place with local accounting firm, Rice and Kachel. After the merger, the company adopted the name Forsyths.

Forsyths continued to grow and merge with other trusted local and regional firms, harnessing the best in local talent and expertise, by bringing together specialists in their respective fields to grow and strengthen the Forsyths business expanding its capabilities to serve its clients.

Subsequent mergers have made Forsyths a leading force offering a full suite of quality, personal, business, and financial advisory services including superannuation and business management whilst servicing our core areas of tax, accounting, audit and assurance.

Over 100 years on, much may have changed, yet Forsyths focus remains constant; to enhance the lives of the people and the communities we serve.
