What Our Staff Say

Brenna, Senior Accountant (Armidale)

I started working at Forsyths in early 2005. The things I value most about working at Forsyths are:

> the freedom to complete my work autonomously without the pressure of someone ‘looking over my shoulder’;

> they foster a friendly, relaxed and fun atmosphere in the office;

> the diverse range of clients, which means I have come into contact with primary producers, property developers and small businesses;

> the provision of excellent support whilst I was completing the CA Program; and

> the continual encouragement to ‘step out of my comfort zone’, which challenges me and helps to broaden my skill base.

All these reasons ensure that I am not only challenged daily by a variety of work, but I also enjoy working with the people in the Forsyths team - what more could you want!

Leanne, Accountant (Coonabarabran)

I began full-time work with Forsyths in October 2005. I have been very fortunate to have experienced two different roles in that time. Originally I was employed as Receptionist and after returning from Maternity Leave I started a new role as Accountant which is where my qualifications and experience lie.

I am responsible for completing quarterly Business Activity Statements and year end Financial Accounts and Income Tax Returns for a small group of clients. Primarily these clients are Primary Producers and other small businesses.

I now work 3 days a week and this allows me to follow my chosen career path without having to sacrifice quality time with my husband and our beautiful boy. I am extremely lucky to work with a friendly and supportive team in the Coonabarabran Office and this support and friendly attitude extends to the other offices in Gunnedah, Tamworth and Armidale. I value the flexibility, trust and respect provided in my working relationship and would recommend Forsyths as employer of first choice to anyone!

Andrew, Accountant (Gunnedah)

I joined Forsyths after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce midway through 2004. I walked into a great job with a very progressive firm. There as been plenty of support from my team and with exposure to leading edge programs and technology I am well-armed to perform my role at the highest level.

My role provides heaps of client contact coupled with exposure to a broad range of industries, which ensures I am constantly challenged and have plenty of opportunities for career development. Working in a challenging role with great people in a great workplace makes this a highly enjoyable job. I highly recommend Forsyths!

Dan, Graduate Accountant (Tamworth)

"I completed a Bachelor of Financial Administration majoring in Accounting at UNE in 2005 and began working at Forsyths at the start of February 2006 as a graduate.

When I first started, I was quite impressed by the way the firm had structured its training regime. With the assistance of templates and procedure outlines you are able to successfully complete your tasks with competent ease. Help and support from all levels of staff, as well as monthly training sessions, enable you to continue your development in accounting and understand the many changing issues.

Key responsibilities include working with clients of various natures, including individuals, companies and trusts, as well as, collaborating with your team through weekly meetings to work towards achieving goals set by the firm.

I’m very proud to be working for a firm such as Forsyths and would recommend joining the Forsyths team to anyone."
